Print Shipping Labels Note that after entering the number of labels and the Order #, clicking OK just prepares (stores) the labels for printing. It then leaves you ready to prepare labels for another order. After you have 'prepared' all the labels you need, click on the button at the bottom that says "Send Labels to the printer", to actually print them. Note that if you already have the order numbers you wish to print labels for, you can use the enter or tab key to go from one field to the other. The OK key will respond to when it is hi-lited. Confirm all the printing specs before printing. Operational Hint If after preparing some labels, you canceled, and didn't really mean it, the labels you just prepared are available as the last report printed. Simply re-print the last OE report to get the hard copy labels. Label Information The minimum size label must be at least 3 inches vertical. Currently this program works best using continous form (pinfeed) labels. If used on a sheet feed printer, only one label per sheet would be used. Labels longer than 3.5 inches could be used but would work best if the return address is already printed, and you use the starting line number to move the printing down into the Ship-to area. Label alignment Use the Starting Column number to adjust left or right, where 1 or less is as far left as you can print. The Starting Line number is used for vertical alignment. The larger the line number, (2 or more) the farther down ALL the printing will be. You may use zero or a negative number (-1 to -4 ) to move the shipping address up closer to the return address. Continous Form Label Printers If the printer is on a computer that has Windows Xp, NT or 2000, the labels should print correctly. However if labels are printed with several blank labels between printed labels, it could be caused by NOT checking the Continous Forms checkbox, or it may be from using a Win 95 or 98 computer. These old Op systems do not recognize the Set Page Length command used by the program. In this case you will need to add a duplicate printer device driver (change the name of the printer), and set up a customized page description to the size of your labels. Then always select this printer for the labels.
